Biography:
Attended Granada Hills High( Granada Hills,Ca.) two sport athlete basketball/football. Lettered in both sports before moving on to Glendale Community College( Glendale,Ca.) Played basketball at Glendale Comm. for two years earning All-State Hon Men. honors, Team MVP and First Team All-League upon leaving school. Signed letter of intent to attend Cal State San Bernardino University in Basketball where I played two years. After graduation spent rest of playing years playing in various summer pro-am tournaments and leagues throughout the Los Angeles area, including Drew league and Dino Smiley Run,Shoot and Dunk with various professional players in the NBA and overseas..
Coaching Career: Assistant Coach
Began coaching career in 1998 at my alma mater Granada Hills High serving as the Head Coach of the Freshman,Sophmore and Junior Varisity Boy's teams, while also serving as an assistant to the Varisity Boy's program as well. Spent the 1999-2000 season serving as an assistant to the Varsity Boy's program at Chatsworth High( Chatsworth,Ca.) Spent the 2000-2001 season in the same role while at Sylmar High ( Sylmar,Ca.) From 2001-2003 served as Head Junior Varsity and Assistant Varsity Coach of the Boy's Program at Grover Cleveland High (Reseda,Ca.) 2004-2005 spent one season as an Assistant at Moorpark J.C. with the Men's Basketball program.
Head Coach: 2005-present
In September of 2009 I will be starting my 5th year as Head Coach of the Varsity Team at Cleveland High. My initial season ended with playing in the Los Angeles City Sectiion Invitational Championship game losing to San Pedro High in the final minute. Team has improved league standing, playoff wins and overall wins in each of the last four seasons. First two seasons team ended season with 15 wins, last two seasons team finished season with 20 wins per. 2008=2009 team finished year with semifinal loss to eventual state champion Westchester High. 2008-2009 team advanced to the California State Basketball Tornament for the first time in school history eventually losing to Riverside King High.
Personal:
I am married with one son whose name is also Osiris, have coached many players who have gone on to play at schools at many different levels, most notable Nick Young of the Washington Wizards while serving coaching duties at Cleveland High.
