Jean Mercedes was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and is a native of New York City. He is a very applicable and capable young man. He has passion, determination, and talent.
Mercedes has taken classes such as Baseball General Manager and Scouting, Baseball Analytics, ,and Athlete Management. He has successfully been mentored by Dr. Lynn Lashbrook. As well as being mentored, he has met all the requirements of becoming a SMWW Agent Advisor, which includes: agent regulations and player association legalities, contract negotiation, endorsements, sponsorship, ethics, collective bargaining agreements, draft preparation, marketing and recruiting. 
He was a gold glove winning second baseman and catcher in 2007 for the International League in the Bronx. He was also part of the travel team for the same league. He’s graduated from Lehman High School in 2009, he also played for Bronx Community College and was part of the winning team of the CUNY Championship in 2011. In the Dominican Republic he’s in charge of the physical training in the Academy of baseball in his town. Also he’s a defensive and hitting instructor of the same Academy. Jean is looking to grow and further develop his skill to succeed in the baseball industry.
