Mark Cook

Mark Cook has been playing the game of basketball, since he was a kid, growing up in Brooklyn, New York. Mark became a member of the Riverside Hawks & PAL Miccio AAU teams during the early 1990's. Mr. Cook had the opportunity to play with and against future NBA players Carmelo Anthony, Jamal Tinsley and Omar Cook among others. Unfortunately, Mark's playing career came to end after high school. Yet in 2011, Mr. Cook went on to take his passion, knowledge and experience of the sport into the coaching field.   

Mr. Cook has worked with Fast Break Kids AAU, Brooklyn Rams AAU and Urban Assembly of Global Commerce High School, before becoming Head Coach of the Boys JV Basketball team at Avenues The World Upper School in 2014. Mark Cook has continued to progress, as a coach by working with the Chelsea Piers Evolution AAU youth basketball program since 2015. 
Since the summer of 2016, Mr. Cook has worked with New York City Basketball Kids. Coach Cook has had the opportunity to work youth basketball clinics with the Brooklyn Nets along with NBA players such as Zach Lavine, CJ McCollum & Lance Thomas among others. Mr. Cook has recently received his NBA GM & Scouting course certification from Sports Management Worldwide. 
Mark Cook has also received coaching certifications from FIBA, NFHS and AAU organizations throughout his coaching career.
