Miles Freed is a Los Angeles native whose passion for basketball began at an early age through playing, watching, and analyzing the game at the highest levels. A lifelong NBA enthusiast and dedicated Clippers fan, Miles channeled his love for the sport into a career path that began at Tulane University, where he pursued a degree in Business Management with the goal of working in collegiate and professional basketball. While at Tulane, Miles served as the team manager for the men’s basketball program for four years, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in the day-to-day operations of a Division I team. His time at Tulane also allowed him to work under then-head coach Mike Dunleavy Sr., former Clippers GM and head coach, further deepening his understanding of the game from a professional perspective. In addition to his role at Tulane, Miles worked with Integrity Hoops, assisting an NBA trainer in on-court player development. He contributed to high-level training sessions by writing practice plans and utilizing performance tools such as Synergy and SportsCode to support player development initiatives. Following graduation, Miles gained experience in the hospitality and sales industries before returning to basketball full-time. He currently coaches youth players in Los Angeles, serves as an assistant coach for the girls’ varsity team at The Buckley School in Sherman Oaks, and works with the Van Nuys Sherman Oaks Recreation Center. Additionally, he contributes to SportRadar, collecting real-time game data for various sporting events. Miles is now focused on advancing his career in basketball operations, with interests spanning scouting, analytics, and front office roles. With a strong foundation in coaching, player development, and data analysis, he brings a unique blend of experience, curiosity, and dedication to every opportunity within the game. |
