Clarence Jones

Clarence Jones was born and raised in South Carolina, where he grew up playing basketball, football, and baseball. His coaching career began in 2011 at the Lyndon B. Johnson Job Corps Center, where he was both a student and a coach. Mornings were dedicated to studying cement masonry, while evenings were spent coaching basketball. That same year, Jones led the Lyndon B. Johnson Eagles to a successful season and earned the 2011 Smoky Mountain Conference Coach of the Year award.

Following his time at Job Corps, Jones relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he continued to develop his coaching career. He volunteered with the YMCA and i9 Sports for five years before becoming both an assistant and head basketball coach at the middle school level, a role he held for six years.

In addition to basketball, Jones has a strong background in football coaching. He began working with the Young American Football League in 2012 as a running backs coach and later served as a head coach from 2014 to 2015. Jones remains active in the sports community by attending and hosting camps, clinics, and tournaments throughout the year.

Currently based in Albuquerque, NM, Jones serves as a camp, clinic, and player development coach. He holds multiple certifications from Sports Management Worldwide (SMWW), including:

Jones is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Media Technologies at the Academy of Art University. His diverse experience in coaching, player development, and sports education reflects his commitment to fostering athletic talent and promoting sportsmanship at all levels.
