Joi Easterling

Joi Easterling is from Chicago, Illinois and still currently resides there. She graduated from North Park University in 2023 with her Bachelor’s in Business. She is currently finishing up her last semester at Concordia University Chicago where she is studying for her Master’s in Sports Leadership. Joi is also a recent graduate of the Sport Management Worldwide Basketball GM & Scouting course. In this course, she was able to learn from Rick Sund, a former NBA GM, and Carl Berman, an expert scout. 

Joi has had lots of experience working in sports over the years, especially basketball. Her first experience working in basketball was in high school where she was the team manager for the Men’s basketball team for 3 years. She has also worked basketball games at Loyola University and Oakton College doing things like running the shot clock and being the official scorer. She is still currently working at Oakton College and is the official scorer for men’s and women’s basketball games as well as coaches’ volleyball for a club team. 

Joi has always had an interest in basketball and hopes to work in professional basketball in the future. She is currently focusing on applying the skills and techniques she learned from the Basketball GM & Scouting course to be able to write accurate and effective scouting reports and evaluations.
