About Me
My name is Frank Preston. I enjoy every aspect of the game of basketball. I have been very passionate about basketball since I was a young kid. Working in basketball would be my dream job, so everyday I am working towards fufilling my dream.
Basketball Experience
I played basketball at Whetstone highschool in Columbus, Ohio from 1995-1999. I would never say that I was anywhere near a great player. I would describe myself as a roll player, who enjoyed being coached and always worked to improve. I was an important player on some pretty good teams. After High School I joined the U.S. Navy. While in the Navy I also played on my ship's basketball team.
In 2009, I began a basketball scouting service called Future Gems. I scouted hundreds of highschool basketball players in five different states (Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Indiana}. The main priority of Future Gems was to locate players, who were "under the radar", to help them get attention from colleges and universities. My duties were to scout the players, record and edit their videos, maintain scouting reports on each player, and I also contacted college coaches.
I have also worked with NetScouts basketball. NetScouts is a scouting service that is used by college and professional basketball teams around the world. NetScouts provides professional in depth scouting reports and Bio's on talented basketball players from all over the world. Some of the work that I have done for NetScouts includes:
Created and kept a schedule of games to attend
Attended college basketball games to scout players live
Provided in depth scouting reports
