John Print

John Print is Soccer Director and UK Operations Manager for Sports Management Worldwide.

John has been involved in the sports industry in a variety of different roles. After completing a BA in Marketing and a Masters in Sports Law, his first role in sport was as a marketing executive for Bish Media in Manchester. The position involved developing and implementing branding and marketing strategies for their clients sponsored teams and athletes.

In 2002 John moved to UK Sport, the elite sports agency for Olympic & Paralympic athletes. His first spell was in the International Relations Directorate with a responsibility for managing high profile visits to the UK from overseas Olympic Committees, International Sport Federations and Government Departments. A visit by the Chinese Olympic Committee to learn more about the UK sporting system, led to a memorandum of understanding to be signed between the UK and Chinese Government. This agreement was influential in the UK’s decision to develop a bid for the 2012 Olympics.

In February 2002, John moved to UK Sport - Drug Free Sport Directorate, educating athletes on anti-doping issues and policies in build up to the Athens Olympics. Part of the role was to assist in the development and phased implementation of the Therapeutic Use Exemption System (TUE) and Athlete Whereabouts System which is now known as AIDA.

A graduate of the Sports Management Worldwide Athlete Management Diploma, the course helped create new opportunities within the business of sports.

In 2003 John qualified as licensed FIFA players’ agent and took up a position as Director of Sports International Management Ltd. During this period he also took up the position of UK Operations and Soccer Director for Sports Management Worldwide.

As well representing numerous football clients in England and overseas, the promotion of athletes to other industry sectors was an ever-increasing market lead to the creation of Sprint Management / Sports Talent in 2007, in which John is now both a Director and Founder.

The company has been growing quickly in 2007 with client highlights including; involvement in the UK’s No1 Music Video by Timbaland – “The Way I Are”, FA Cup Final & Community Shield appearances at Wembley Stadium and athlete client involvement in two cinematic releases.
